The Tweed Theatre Company (TTC) began 13 years ago as an all volunteer, amateur company and has been delighting Tweed region audiences with its shows ever since. The TTC produces 3-4 shows per year, a youth production, a musical and a play. The next youth production is "Peter Pan- The Musical" which opens April 7th. Previous musicals were Jesus Christ Superstar and the next one in July 2012 is Fame the Musical. Popular Aussie comedy plays by Len Randall have also been a hit such as “The Promotion” which played last November. See a full list of productions under the Chronology tab on the TTC website. Most of the talent is from the Tweed Region and many of the younger actors and actresses have appeared 2-3 times over the years. The TTC is fully funded by ticket sales only and the hard work of the Committee and many “behind the scenes’ volunteers. Other supporters are the Tweed City Council, Serene Living Murwillumbah and Tweed Tourist Centres and South Tweed Bowls Club. The TTC is part of the Gold Coast Theatre Alliance which includes nine theatre companies on the Gold Coast and NSW Far North Coast. Website http://www.tweed theatrecompany.com.au
